 in our soul. Compromising with the world will 
do same to our eyes.

August 23,2010 What a Day!!! (III)

The evening was coming to an end, we had our first visitors.  From left to right, around the table, we have cousin Illea ,cousin Jackie, auntie Pilla, Jochebed and the birthday girl, Abigail.

                              Jackie is the first born in her family and the second oldest of the girls in the Lugo's Tribe. She is her fathers right hand and enjoys pleasing her parents. Jackie has such a BIG heart. Thanks for coming and bringing Nathen along.

 What can I say about these three" amigos". They have the best of stories to say, growing up together. All mamma can say is that, they taught Abigail to be a pioneer girl.  Cousin Nathen, Abigail and Cousin G.J. Our prayer is that they put God first in everything they do. We closed the evening with some songs that Abigail really enjoys and we had cousins joining in. We had such a good time singing that night.  Like Ephesians 5:19 says Speaking to YOURSELVES in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your HEART to the LORD; 
And Colossians 3:16 Says, Let the word of  Christ dwell IN YOU richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing ONE ANOTHER  in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your HEART to the LORD.

August 23, 2010 What a Day!!! (II)

                      This special day was not over.  We were half way through the day. Javier felt like making hamburgers. So, I asked Abigail to cut up some lettuce and  tomatoes, while I washed the dishes.  Abigail, to my surprise, jumped! And said, "I need to get the camera!"  When she came back, she took a picture of her dad and her brother. And said, "It looks like they are having a father and son TALK."               

As weeks go by,  that,  I finally get myself to posting this SPECIAL DAY.  I decide to call Javier and asked him if he remembers.... on Abigail's Birthday.  During lunch time....While making hamburgers...Does...he remember a talk with Christopher. And he said, "YES, It was a father and son TALK." Abigail was right, they did have a  TALK." So, I call for Christopher if he remembers anything that day. And he said they had a talk on Hebrews13:5 on contentment. My heart was warm, filled with lots of JOY. Christopher had remembered the reference which I call it the "address." And he also remember alot more that day. I was also grateful for Abigail for taking that picture. A moment of truth. What a well invested afternoon this has been.

August 23, 2010 What a Day!!! (I)

        On August 23, 2010 was a very special day for all of us. The Lord has given us fourteen years around the SUN with Priscilla Abigail Guerra. What a joy this whole day has been. Starting, from the rising of the sun 
to the going down.  Abby was excited to have had Grama Susan with us that morning @ Taqueria Ranchito.
What was really exciting that Javier was off on a weekday.  It has been fourteen years that he has been getting the days off on our birthdays.(:  What a treat that has been.  And it does'nt get old.

         Here, we have a picture of Jochebed, looking like.....WHAT HAVE I DONE! Jochebed had whispered a surprise to my ear. She said, she had a surprise for Abby.  And that surprise was, she was going to ORDER her OWN breakfast! For a moment there, I thought she was not going to come through. But she did!  Was Abby surprised. Well...it's not guaranteed she will do it again.  But we're hoping that she develops that courage again.

Jochebed is Learning How to wash Dishes

                     Me and my sister always have fun washing dishes together. It usually is very exciting! This video hardly catches all the excitment we usually have.

Happy Birthday Mom !!!            One of my moms favorite scripture is  Phillipians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.    As a daughters point of view I have seen her demonstrate this scripture throughout her years. I am so grateful that the Lord has given us one more year with her. And Lord willing many many more.
