Something To Think About

From The Book Conquer You Fear Share Your Faith by Kirk Cameron And Ray Comfort ( The Way of the Master). page 117                                                                                                                                                                                        Fellowship                                                                                                          Firefighters need each other. They can't afford to allow rifts to come between friendships. There is too much at stake. Their calling has to be a higher calling that supersedes petty disagreements. If two enter a fire, the creed is that two come out of the fire. They need unity of purpose. They strive to look out for the safety of their fellow firefighter. As Christians, we have a calling that is too high for petty disagreements. We are to " stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel" ( Phil. 1: 27). Think of what God asks us to do-to pull sinners from the fire of eternal hell. How could ever we let anything take our eyes off that goal? Jesus sent His disciples out in twos. There's god reasons for this. You get to know your partner and what he can handle...............................   Other times you may be called to watch your partners back. When the flames of backbiting or gossip appear, learn to put them out with a gentle but thoroughly wet blanket. Some people have the gift of discouragement. Be on guard for them. They usually approach with what they think is good advice. But it can be poison wrapped in candy, and it can get into your system. That's why you need a partner who will faithfully stand with you when the heat comes on. You need someone who will have nothing but encouragement for you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 -                                                                                                    - Kirk Cameron
